I used call assist which i believe start rescue use whilst in France. The call center were great, the village idiot who dropped my bike whilst loading it not so... Followed by an hour in the passenger seat correcting his stearing whilst he pissed about with 3 phones... I was on tranquilizers for weeks after

Not the way I would have handled it......

I would have taken the 3 phones off him and told him to drive.......... He would get the phones back when we reached our destination and I was out of the vehicle.

I have always found that the threat of serious violence to be far more effective than tranquilizers in sorting out problems like this......

I use Carole Nash insurance and it comes with break down cover. I had to use the recovery earlier this year and it was fantastic. I would thoroughly recommend them. The insurance isn't a bad price either.

Just looked on start rescue website and it looks like if they can't fix it roadside they only take you a max of 10 miles!! even on the five star cover

eh?
they took me 50 miles to the motorrad dealer in East Kilbride - cos thats where i said I wanted to go.
Rather than all the way home circa 250 miles which is what they offered when i first called them.

they have 1,2 or 3 star cover (no 5 star ???)
2&3 star have the nationwide recovery

Deffo got 5 star on website looking again the 1 star takes you 10 miles and other levels nationwide, but still has the 1 star wording on each level,Thought that would be a bit unusual
