Anyone looking for accommodation in the Kaprun area of Austria, I can heartily recommend the Hotel Rudelshof Vitality. You can access it via trip advisor.

It's a 4 star mind, so not so cheap, around 140 euros a night for a huge Comfort Double room, but you get half board (food was superb!!!) and free access to the vitality spa with pool, saunas, massage available etc.

It's a huge but family run place and the family are working the shop floor, so to speak. Also their english is better than mine, which goes for very little I suppose seen as how I'm a blue skinned Scot!

Brilliant place with loads of stuff to keep you entertained in the area. Only a few miles from the Grossglockner Pass/Playground :thumb

Ouch. It's certainly not cheap but I suppose it depends on how good the meals and services are...

This a link to this Hotel but I don't think they do a webpage in English

Excellent choice

On Bart's recommendation, we tried this for two nights last week. First rate!! We paid Euros 200 for the two nights - including huge breakfast and five course dinner (multiple options to choose from). This makes it excellent value indeed.

Staff were excellent, all spoke perfect English and hotel had first-rate facilities.

Simply outstanding!

And Grossglockner is 18 euros a day to play good fun though just got back Saturday

A year after Ronno's post: there's an English translation now (flag in top corner)

http://www.rudolfshof.com/7.0.html?L=1 takes you directly to the English translation
