Recovering a deleted User Account & files in XP

Is it possible to recover a deleted user account and that accounts files in XP.
We had an employee who left us, none of the files seemed relevent anymore so I deleted both the user account and the files contained therin. I have now been contacted by the guy who wanted some info contained in a file. All the relevant files appeared in the Norton protected recycle bin of the remaining user ??? - I can see them there, there were 6oo+ files but when I selected the unerase files option, I was told that the files were unerased and pressed 'finnish'. The files selected for unerase however are not showing in the 'my documents ' of the remaining user - they are dissapearing into the ether as soon as I select unerase. Any thoughts boffins?

I've used THIS with success before Steve....

The files will still be there somewhere, buried in a multi-embedded folder.

Try copying the name of one of the files into the search function and then browse to the address and you may well find it there.....if not, you'll probably have to use Scavenger or something similar (it's got a free trial thingy)
