Red 1200GSA leaving big angry sports bike for dead

I witnessed something which made me laugh in my lid last night on the way home, on board my Dakar on the A217 south bound near Burgh Heath.

I was overtaken, (or should I say "blown out of the water") by a Red 1200GSA who was whipping some angry looking dude on a sport bike...!!! left him for dead. LOL

One minute it was pitch black and then all of a sudden all I could see behind me was light - lots of lights, it was a bit like close encounters...... or the things that prepare ski slopes in the middle of the night.

I look forward to more of the same and just hope I don't get in the way : )

Did it have a loud pipe and GSA alluminium topbox?

lol... actually its funny you say that, I've seen a Robin Reliant beat a huge yank muscle car at Santa Pod - it was a lot to do with the yank tank dropping its gear box at the start line


anyone worked out what the other bike was? something 2 stroke and old by the looks of it..

Bah - humbug ! Here's another. Doesn't look like a 12 though but it might make you boys on vintage machines happy A bit long at 10mins plus but better than watching telly - bit around 3 minutes

i have got to the stage where i look at 1200gsa's and start to dribble!

once i have raised a few more tokens i'll be there - need to go on few trips now that ive got all the gear for the dakar me thinks. Does anyone think they'll come up with a 1300GSA in a year or so? ha ha

I timed that at just over 12sec.
My effort was with an 1150 ... and NO .. I didnt leave any sports bike for dead. But it was a good time and Im proud of it. ( thats why ive mentioned it a dozen times)
