Reducing the sample rate on MP3’s

I’ve just … ahem acquired … some moosic that’s been ripped at 320 bps … purely for evaluation purposes you understand

However, I can’t fit the album onto my 128 Mb MP3 player.

Can anybody suggest some software to re-sample the files at a more reasonable bit rate?

iTunes would do the job for free (if your using a Mac or PC with XP).

dbpoweramp (www.dbpoweramp.com) has some nice music conversion tools all completely free of charge. You point it at a bunch of music files and it will convert them from and to whatever format & sample rate you want - as long as you have the appropriate codec downloaded. Top stuff.
