Registering a frame

I picked up a Paralever frame yesterday for a project bike I'm putting together. It came from Germany with some other parts but there is no documentation apart from the receipt that came with it yesterday.

How do I get a logbook for this? Obviously I have the VIN and chassis number for it.

You can only register a complete bike as it needs to be MOT'd (and insured.) It will then be physically inspected by DVLA. I've recently done two, one a US import and the other built from parts, same procedure for both.

Number 6 is correct you can only register a complete bike..
Even if the DVLA don't want to see it you will still need to get a mot on it
Classic services used to do the required documents for a age related plate to give to the DVLA...I have used them myself
Best option if you buy a frame is try to get the original foreign logbook with it
I have got 2 GSPD frames from Germany and made sure they came with the original documents.
No problems getting a log book then...But you need to put the bike together first

I have almost enough parts laying about to put a complete bike together so that isn't a problem.
