Hi.
If I obtained a bike that was say a 1960 BSA C15T, that has never been registered. How would I go about getting a registration mark on it, preferably age related?
Can any classic bike specialists help Timpo?

Only serious replies at present please.......

If i remember correctly ,You will need to contact the bsa owners club or someone else that is registered with dvla to confirm dates of manufacture.Send them the frame and engine numbers and they should send you confirmation of the date of the bike. Then go to your local dvla office and ask them for the relevant form, and they should give you an age related plate,i think it takes a few weeks and costs about 80 quid.

Thanks, that sort of is what I had in mind.
The BSA OC is like the keeper of age related data that the DVLA have recognised for reference.
That's good info, thanks.:thumb2

Roughly twice the value of the bike then.

You'd be surprised - a genuine C15T is a rare beast and worth quite a bit. There seems to be some confusion as to whether DVLA charge for age related plates - sometimes they do (if they insist on inspecting the bike) and sometimes they don't. Good news now is that they will issue you with a plate before you get an MOT.

So timpo - show us the piccies?
Here is my army B40 - now sold...
