Registering Problem

Grateful for any help on a problem I am having in getting my stuff registered with Garmin.

I have got as far as the 7 digit registration code on the yellow bit of paper but clicking on Next just brings up an error message - Error accessing the internet - please verify your internet connection. I am DEFINETELY connected to the internet - even did a search on this site to see if it has been asked before. Completely flumoxed what am I doing wrong?

If you've a mygarmin account here:

https://my.garmin.com/mygarmin/customers/myGarminHome.faces

then try and register it there. I had a similar problem when re-installing Mapsource etc this week.

Any solution to "Verify Connection"?

I now have the same problem. Did any one discover a solution to the "Verify Connection (12038)" problem? Firewall disabled made no difference.

At the moment I'm wondering if it's because I'm using my PC's D: drive instead of C:

I have registered on Garmin's site to try to resolve the problem and register my (second-hand) unit there.
