i would like to upgrade from my 2610 to a 550 zumo, however it concerns me that there appears to be a lot of issues about this model not bursting into life when needed the most. battery removals, hard resets and the like to reboot the unit into life. has this problem been ironed out now ?,.......... and if a hard reset is needed do you lose all the routes waypoints which have been stored.
thanks Hman

Ive had my zumo 550 for just over a year and Ive never had a problem with it. Its been out in all weathers and its still like new. My only complaint if you need one is that its a bit slow at picking up gps when you first turn it on but apart from that its a smart piece of kit.

Had my Zumo for about 6 months now and had no problems in car or on the bike.

Previous GPS was a 2610 which is a good bit of kit but Zumo much better particulaly geting and keeping GPS signal and internal battery is a major advantage.
