Racing legend Paul Smart will be holding court at a special event near Brands Hatch on Wednesday, January 14.
The retired racer, who wrote one of the first chapters in Ducati folklore by winning the 1972 Imola 200, will be the star of ‘An Evening With Paul Smart’ at the Riverside Club in Eynesford, Kent.
Smart raced across the world in the 1960s and 70s on a wide variety of machinery, often in the company of his brother-in-law Barry Sheene.
If MCN’s experience of spending time with the hospitable ex-racer is anything to go by, the chance to hear Smart’s tales from a golden era of bike racing will be well worth the tiny admission fee.
The event is organised by the Greenwich Motorcycle Club and admission is by way of a £2 raffle ticket, with the proceeds split between the event venue and childrens cancer charity CLUC Sargent.
It starts at 7.30pm and the Riverside Club’s postcode is DA4 0AE.
