Hi,
Stupid question probably, but trying to remove the seats on my 1200 GSA;
Pillion seat, turn key right seat lifts off. No problems

Riders seat, turn key left (will only turn from '12 0'clock' to approx '11 o'clock') but I cannot get it off. Am I doing something completely and obviously wrong here? Or should the key turn more than to '11 o'clock'? Certainly doesn't seem to want to turn more... :(

Tks in advance.

Turn key right, remove pillion seat, turn key left (about 11 o clock) lift front seat from rear and pull backwards. You seem to be doing it correctly ? :confused:

With my seat I find I have to turn the key as described but hold it in the fully then press down on the middle rear of the seat or sometimes a short sharp slap to the same place.
The process should be in the owners manual.

you need to put a bit of weight on the rear of the seat, lean across the rear section with your elbow or give it a good hard thump as you turn the key.

your tool roll prob isnt packed fully in the tool tray.

When you get the front seat off, check if the nut behind the lock is tightened correctly. I had the same problem recently

If the seat does not pop when you turn the key, dont force the key just turn it and hit down on the seat with your fist.

Thank you all. Advice worked perfectly. Turn key, karate chop, seat open!

This forum is invaluable!

Cheers :thumb2:thumb2:thumb2
