Removing gatso stuff from a 2610

I bought a 2610 2nd hand and have all the stuff that goes with it.
The unit maps have all gatso, redlight and mobile sites loaded and it really clutters up the maps. Is there a way I can easily delete all these?

Tried this on my Quest quite a few years ago.

Firstly I'd suggest that if it's causing map clutter then you're either zoomed out too far or you need to move out of London

I found that it's use was somewhat limited as there are no audio prompts and keeping an eye on the screen for up coming blobs was too distracting. I uninstalled it but can't quite remember how...

I think you'll need to upload your mapping again from Mapsource, this will overwrite what's already there including the map overlay. That's assuming that you have the mapping on your PC and fully unlocked to the 2610, overwriting with mapping that isn't unlocked will render your GPS useless, you have been warned.

Possibly you can turn the mapping overlay off in the menus, I can't recall if that's possible. Look for a 'maps' item in the menu and see if there's some tick boxes that can exclude the overlay. This would be safer if you're not sure about the mapping unlock thing above.

On the unit went to info - map info - unticked euro poc.
