Has anyone any experience of making the TT frames fit around a remus can? If so, what need’s to be done and any contacts for getting it sorted out. Looks like a chop and weld job to me:(

Thanks in advance

Alf:)

The closest I can help with is I know that Metal Mule managed to adjust their exhaust system to fit the sondersystem on an ADV with a bit of jiggery pokery and some washers but no cut and weld.

And I know that the standard Zega works with the Remus but that's not what you've got...

Not much help I guess

Thanks for the info. I'll take some pix when I get home and post them up. Main problem is that the remus can is far too wide to fit in the cut out on the bracket. Reckon it'll be much easier to mod the standard can rather than mess around with the pannier frame;)

Had same problem with my 1100.I was told it can be done by the person who sold the panniers to me.As you say it would have to be a cut and weld job if you want to keep the Remus.

Have Remus , Can cut "n" weld !

In the Past i have seen a spacer on the actual exhaust bracket
to push the exhaust toward the wheel . Hairy enough i thought.

The Big question is with the alteration to the Rack is the actual
pannier going to fit the then modified rack ?.

I know of an easier solution !.

Here's a picture of the TT frame for the Remus exhaust. It's not the same as for the standard exhaust.

The cutout on the left case is also different:
