remus exhaust 04 on

Hi guys i am about to purchase a full remus system for my 2007 r1200gs, the website states it is for 2004 models onwards,can anyone confirm this system will fit. The reason I ask is that I was going to buy a bos system listed as fitting 04-06 models and was informed the system would not fit my 07 bike, can anyone confirm this? Kind regards John

a titanium micron instead, i've got one in the for sale bit. would fit straight on.

Doesn't sound right to me. I just put on a full Remus on my '07 GS Adventure. I was never asked what year it was. I also put one on my '05 GS. I couldn't tell any difference.

Hi nakedrider i think it may be an issue with the centre stand, im just going by what someone selling bos exhausts said, i have decided to go with the remus but i just wanna make sure it fits before i part with my cash, thanks for replying!

If memory serves, pre '06 models (ie the ones wiith the hooped centre stand) had a bumpstop on the pipe which was the end stop for the stand.

Bingo. Could be it. I've got a bumper stop on the pipe but nothing to hit it from the centerstand.

On my bike the centerstand bumper is on the right side (opposite of the side stand) and it connects with the frame of the bike.

Theres a very nice Remus Titanium can for sale on eBay at the moment and that will fit an 07 Bike. Save you a few pennies and only have to buy the front pipes then...... I Know I Know shameless plug
