Hello all,

I have a 2003 1150 GSA, with a Remus and Y link pipe. :)

I've just seen the Remus Powerizer Fuel Re-Mapping Device for sale. It makes claims on:
Optimal tuning of the Remus exhaust system to the bike
Data Logging Option
Performance Gain
Reduction of Fuel Consumption

Anyone tried one?

Thanks

Do a search for "cat code plug". Its been talked about a lot!

Might work, might not but its quick, cheap (read: free) and completley reversable and might give you the above without splashing the cash.

Caution with these. I looked at one for a Bos system. They are designed as part of an overall package - normally the K&N route, Y piece and end can. They usually recommend using premium fuel mixes (98 Oct or better) and it will mess with the mapping for lower quality fuel (so you're stuck with the expensive stuff). If you are a track day speed monster you may benefit. :eek

Best best is, Cat Code plug, save your fuel pennies and enjoy more touring and beer.

I'd seen that too. To be honest I wasn't even convinced it was a genuine Remus product because the claims seemed a bit on the over-optimistic side... But it does seem to be genuine:

Now available from Remus, the quality Austrian exhaust manufacturer, the Remus Powerizer is the easiest to use of all the available fuel injection controllers. Simply plug and play, with no adjustments being necessary. This unit plugs into your stock wiring harness between the standard (or race kit) ECU and the injectors.

The fast microprocessor in the REMUS Powerizer analyses continuously and in real time load, RPM and injector duration, and automatically adjusts for optimum fuelling. Ideal when fitting aftermarket exhausts and airbox solutions to ensure perfect fuelling throughout the rev range, without the need to make manual adjustments or set up on a dyno.

Includes on/off switch & full wiring and instructions

No adjustment? Adjusts automatically? Based on what? Sounds too good to be true? Then it probably is :mmmm

I'd rather spend a bit more on a BBPower chip - I know they work.

Try the steptoe cat code plug first.

why? he hasnt said its running badly,
the techlusion can help, easy to fit,and adjustable, what do u want it to do, ?
dont expect any drastic improvement, the y piece was the main thing for performance increase

Hi All,

Thanks for the info. The bike runs Ok, no real issues, good mpg, it just feels as if it needs a good old fashion dynojet kit (I know its not got carbs.....!) and dyno set up to sharpen/crispen throttle response and mid range.

It could be though that 'that's how they are sir' ,so I'll try the Steptoe fix and report back.

It's a great bike, and I realise its not a GSXR/YZF/Blade etc, I have other bikes for that fix, I just wondered if the above box was a quick fix, although these rarely are.

Thanks again
