Hi all,

I ordered a baffle for ther remus revolution end can for my yr 2000 1150gs that i recently purchased as it doesnt have one. now that i have the baffle it won't fit! it fouls the tail piece where it is meant to go in. it seems the baffle is too long yet it isnt to be cut. im annoyed as i have waited 2 weeks for the shop to get this part in. has anyone else got this problem or can they give me the dimension of their baffle for the remus revolution. I know what ordered........what i have here wasnt what i ordered:mad::mad::mad:

have

you got a pic? It probably is the right one but you might have a slight build up of carbon. Try giving it a wiggle about to loosen any deposits or TAP it with a rubber hammer or soft piece of wood. It should resemble this below

it indeed resembles the image above but it just will not go in the exhaust tip. presing very hard doesnt cause it to 'drop into place'. my mate's baffle on his micron drops in - no forcing or cursing required to make it fit.

I

would still try a bit of gentle walloping. Is the can 2nd hand? If so see if you can get a little wire brush down the neck and give it a good clean. Other option is to tell us all where you are and hopefully some local tosser will try your baffle in theirs or vica-versa.

i've been back to the shop and they are sending photos of my remus revolution and baffle to remus UK to get a second opinion. They agree I have remus revolution can but like i say the baffle just wont go in. hopefully they'll give me an answer on this one.

I have a remus revolution and had to order a baffle when mine 'fell out' on the Motorway. Mine did not fit - seemily the end cans had slightly different shapes throughout their run and a little persuasion may be required.

-or- you have the wrong part

the mystery ill fitting baffle has been solved - i was sent the wrong baffle:blast

turns out i have an 'early version' of the revolution can with a larger exhaust tip whereas the current versions have a smaller exhaust tip - hence explains the fouling.

therefore ive to send it back to have THE CORRECT PART send out to me. wish me luck......
