Remus Revolution exhaust

Evening all

I have a 2000 1150 which I brought 2 wks ago with a Remus Revolution end can fitted (which does sound the dogs if you ask me) the only trouble is a friend of mine has got me a tadge worried coz he said he fitted a remus can to his gs and it went pop at about 40K can any1 shed some light on this please?????????????????????
