Can anyone advise me.
I want to fit a remus Revolution can to my 1150GS. I am happy to keep the cat on, - I am not worried about the extra performance, -I just want the bike to sound better.
Will it just bolt straight on, and will I have to get the set up of the ECU adjusted to get it to run properly?

Cheers in advance

The system should bolt straight on with no changes to the ECU. To put your mind at ease, confirm this with the dealer you buy it from.

David,

Appreciate that you aren't worried about performance, having said that have you tried a GS with a Y-piece fitted? Makes a big difference and IMHO turns the GS from polite Eurocrat to snorting monster ....

Here we go, stand by ...

I had a test ride on a Dealers Rockster (tarts R1150R) and it was dealer fitted with a Y piece and Remus Genisis with no mods to ECU/Fi etc and was it was a lot perkier than my 1150GS Adv with or without CAT (stock can). Think they are now "approved" mods as BM's official tuning arm Schnitzner? import them, or so the Salesman and Mechs told me. Either way i'm moments away from ordering a Revolution for my Adv as I type.

Er delete 1st "was" out of "and was it was". Ps havent bouhg one yet as motorworks.co.uk shut at 1pm and not at 4pm as stated in the website.. bugger..

Remus without the Y piece

The idea of fitting the end can only with the cat still in place is a waste of time and effort. I experimented with all the combinations when I fitted mine.

End can plus cat, no difference in noise or performance.

OE end can and Y piece, sufficiently louder to know you have done something and an increase in performance.

End can and Y piece, ear to ear grin, loads more mid range and boxer cup noise volumes. Thats the one to go for.

As for engine tunes. Don't worry, just do the removal and replacement of fuse 5 to reprogramme the motronic brain and the usual TPS reset. Takes all of 2 mins start to finish.

Enjoy!
