I've just ordered a GS for march, and my wife says I MUST get a can for it 'cause standard it sounds pants (like a car !!).
Is the Revolution can loud without the baffle fitted ?
Does fitting the baffle make a big difference ?
I've got Grand Prix cans on my current bike and I'm not sure whether to go for Genisis or Revolution ! help !!
I'm a GS newbe, well, will be soon.
Its gonnae be a long winter.

Hello John..
If you click on 'Search' below, and type in 'Remus Revolution' you'll be taken to quite a few threads on the subject.

I've just fitted one to my 1150, and am still undecided whether it sounds better with or without the baffle (which is just a piece of tubing to narrow the outlet), make no mistake, this is a noisey can either way, how it got an 'E' number is a mystery.. (to me).

It's hard to say if it's quicker with/without, but I assume as the can is straight through with no restriction without the baffle it's probably producing more power.

;)

Done about 100 miles now with the baffle removed and i am sure it is noisier.Think i might go back to quiet (er) mode as getting a few startled looks. I guess it makes another 3 hp on top.Bottom end and midrange are superb in either mode.

Thanks for your help.
Hopefully Santa will sort me out with a can & y-piece.
Can't wait til I get my bike, reading all this stuff about how ace they are is making VERY impatient. I want it NOW !!!
This forum is great, a mine of useful stuff.

John, just ordered my Adventure with a Remus revolution and Y-piece fitted, they gave me 5% of it and will fit it for nothing, have a word with your dealer you might get the same deal!
Worth a try!!
