I'm toying with getting a Renazco for my 950 SE.

But I have to supply him with a new seat on top of the price to make the new version.

As the dollar rate is now shite,it's getting rather pricey. So,does anybody know of a UK or other alternative,or are James Renazco's seats so good that I should just bite the bullet and go with him ?

I know a few of you have had his seats in the past.

Any thoughts ?

I had a Renazco seat on my '05 950 Adventure. It was a really nice piece of work and they do take a bit of bedding in to get really comfy. I sold it in the end, as for me, it made the bike just that bit too tall.

I could go 350 miles or so in a day on the standard seat no problem, and the Renazco added around a 100 to that figure. In the end I concluded that I didn't do enough 400+ mile days to warrant the extra height, and reverted to the lower standard seat.

Thanks for that.

I actually had a quick chat with James Renazco on the phone today.

He said he wouldn't make the seat any taller-he's done quite a few for the 950SE and knows they are tall enough to begin with.

But I want to use the SE on some longish trips.

I've already got a Safari tank on the way and the seat would finish it off .
