Repairing Ally

Engine cases, rocker covers, lever brackets. Stuff that needs some strength or pressure/oil resistance.

Have you actually tried using this stuff. Works fine on the demo's with coke cans etc. But it's utter crap trying to use it on anything thicker.

DON'T take it with you on a long tour because "it's handy" or expecting to use it and get you out of the shite. Save your money . And save the space to take chewing gum, just as effective.

Plus the fact that any welder worth his salt will tell you to go buy a new one when you come to get a permanent repair made.Use araldite and bits of anything else thats lying around, much better

Agreed, we get something called Q-Bond here works great for a "get you home" remembering that this is Africa and home / civilization can be a looooong way away.

For reference, what incidence of smashed 1200 sumps are you guys seeing, we have rash of them currently, it is our dry season (winter no rain May to October) so conditions are faster and more rocky, the 1200 seems to have a problem ripping out ? or punching in those engine mounts straight out of the bottom of the sump!

Welshie

I went to a bookshop and asked the saleswoman, "Where's the
self-help section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
