I have had this problem a couple of times now over the last year - even had to have breakdown recovery rescue me - and clearly still not resolved it. Something keeps blowing my Datatool System 3 Alarm fuse, completely immobilising the bike. The front and rear right indicators don't work yet the bulbs seem fine. I have been through three fuses in the last couple of days trying to fix it but with no success. I think the fuse blows either when I first disable the alarm, or when i turn on the power.
Is the most likely issue a short somewhere? And just so I am clear, does a "short" refer to a snagged wire that is touching the frame for example. If so, presumably I should be trying to trace the wires from the indicators back to wherever they go, and looking at the alarm wires?
Is it expensive to have an alarm removed? Pain in the ass.
