I am considering replacing the rubber hoses with braided steel ones. Today I spoke to chap at Motorworks who informed me that their Goodrich hose kit is not listed for my bike (December 2002 servo ABS R1150GS) He stated it's not reccommended probably because of the complexities of the servo ABS sysytem.

I see that HEL list a kit for the servo ABS evo sysytem, has anyone fitted this set up?
I'm also wondering if I may be better fitting the braided hose lines from the 1150ADV, assuming that both bikes share common brake fittings.

Any comments please.

Hi,

Yes I did change the rubber hoses to braided. I really had because my hose split. Indeed you need to be patient to bleed the system with ABS, but doable.
I can recommend hel but you must definitely send your old ones so they fabricate with the right fit and form. It doesn't matter which model you have as apparently BMW has used so many different parts in the hoses that you would be running the risk of having a wrong fit somewhere. The guy on ebay that sells it is really helpful.

Cheers
