Any ideas on a shock manufacturer to replace my clapped out OE front and rear shocks with. Dont say Ohlins, I have already been given that reality check by the long haired Genearal and Ias much as I would like to fit them, it aint gona happen. Any ideas.

Hagons in Essex come out at about £250.00 each. You can get them rebuilt for about £100.00 each.Don't know about suppliers or rebuilders in Germany though.Must be plenty !

rebuilds can be done - steptoe knows someone.

How about american wilbers - good exchange rate.
Dutch made Hyper pro ?
WP shocks - sherlocks.

you could try and get a damper body only built and use your existing spring - maybe slightly cheaper ?

I thought Wilbers were German made? The only US shock manufacturers I'm aware of are Progressive Suspension & Penske.

They are but if you buy from the US it works out cheaper... go figure!

I might try and get the OE re vamped, got to be a cheaper option.

Got my rear showa rebuilt at ABE at Grenwich 02088589052.
Normally £100,but the shaft was a bit pitted so they made a new one adding £40 to cost.
They are not made to be rebuilt for obvious reasons but they can be done.
Had to take mine back because the bolt they added on fouled the top bracket on bike and wouldn't fit. They turned it around 180.They do enough of them so it was suprising they f**ked up.
Still cheaper than £250 i suppose.
