replacing front pads on R850R

Apologies that this is not a GS but it is at least a BM !

I need to replace the front pads but when I released the caliper from the fork it fouled the wheel rim. Do I need to remove the wheel to change the pads?

I was also unable to drive out the pin holding the pads in place (I did remove the locking pin thing that goes through the hole in the pin!). I didn't want to use too much force in case it is screwed in and not a push fit.

Can anyone point me towards a step by step guide for the job.

dont have to remove the wheel.

pin is a push fit,knock it through...may be a bit tight.

slide pads out,push pistons back a little and fit new pads,pin and securing clip.
