Replacing fuel filter.

I've just replaced the fuel filter as part of the bikes 72K service.
I've looked through the Haynes manual (probably my first mistake) but cant find a torque setting for the 6 X 7mm nuts that hold the pump-plate on.
In the past i've tightened the nuts to what "feels" right,but knowing how easy it is to break the studs and the fact that i've now got a 0-10 ft/lb torque wrench i thought i'd go mad and torque everything correctly.
So,anyone know the correct setting?.

If it's the plate with the threaded studs holding the pump/filter assembly to the tank, it's 5nm for the 1150. I replaced the O ring at the same time. Not tight at all. Too easy to shear off one of the bolts.
Now how do I know that

The factory manual says 6Nm (for the 1100 - I assume the 1150 is the same)

I just use my quarter inch drive stuff and tighten them as I see fit (cautiously) I also treated the threads with ACF50 to prevent them corroding, I only use a torque wrench for engine work as a rule so I dont own one that goes low enough for the small fastenings on my bike.

The 850 and 1100 are 6nm, but the 1150 is 5nm according to Haynes.
As if I could feel the difference of 1nm. If the O ring is new, you're ok.

Ah - right you are.

I must admit I've only ever used a 1/4" drive socket attached to a screwdriver grip for the tank fittings - those tiny little studs look much to small to let a wrench of any sort near them.
