When you get around to sorting out your tank, there is a company called Frost (www.frost.co.uk) Who specialise in classic car and motorcycle repair products. They do a kit for under £40 for motorcycle tanks, which includes a high grade cleaner, a rust killer and a sealer. http://www.frost.co.uk/automotive-tanks-products/por15-motorcycle-fuel-tank-repair-kit.html


I haven't used this kit myself but I have used there rust killer, and it's good stuff.

I'm going to do it.....even had a facet pump in my hands this morning. (fitting a long range second fuel tank of a FFRS destined for New Zealand)

Why?
Fuel stations are not that far apart here. About 80 miles would be the biggest distance.
Are they driving it out?

No, it's being shipped out in a container on the 5th after a week's test run around the UK......from NZ, it (and the 110 we've also been working on to convert it into an ambulance) are then going to Oz for a long trip into the outback.

We're putting a LR tank in the 110 tomorrow as well....it's got more Farkles and bit on it that Sani's 1200 now

Left my camera at work, but I'll stick a piccy up of them this weekend....if I get a chance, I'll take a clip of the 8 strobing LED beacons (4 amber 4 green) that I've spent three days wiring up as well

So, let me think this through......... a person is going into one of the most hostile environments known to man, the australian outback, in a vehicle that you've installed some electrical wiring on.
