The balancer box on my Basic was starting to get pretty crappy and it seems BMW no longer have new ones in stock. I fitted a Y piece but was not particularly impressed: the bike seemed to have a bit more vibration and was a bit louder. So I sent the old balancer box to S&T Eletro-plate, Bristol: I am seriously impressed 
I didn't take a picture of the box before I sent it away but here is a pic Brassmonkey took at the Hog Roast 2009 which gives an idea of the 'before' condition.
And here is the exhaust just back from S&T. The cost was on par with the new Y piece. They are pretty busy (unsurprisingly) and took about 6 weeks to sort the work out.
