February 2004..a sad day, did something stupid! 
I abandonned my 1150 GS for something with a little more umph! A Fazer 1000!!
That was the first mistake, compared to the GS it was gutless off the throttle! Nice at the top end but no go unless you drop many gears!
After a few months passed the Fazer went and a 1300 Pan arrived!
Second mistake, got some of the low down grunt back however it leaked coolant, the electronic dash continuely flashed, it ate tyres with a rate I've never seen before(must be the weight)!!
Then came the third mistake, well not exactly a mistake just a bike that was so dull unless you'd got it wound right open....a Honda Blackbird! Great bike, silky smooth but you may as well be riding a CBR 600 when riding at legal speeds! Open her up and she would entertain you but how often do you do that?
So the Bird is going and I pick up my 2002 1150 GS blue and white, 11000 miles with BMW paniers, adventure screen and beak thingy, new rear Tourance on Saturday.
Im back! Just like you said I would be!
Can't wait to get back in to the groove.
