I just picked up a new Revit Defender GTX Goretex Jacket on Saturday to replace a rather worn out old Dianese jacket past its use by date. I had done a fair bit of research on the net and looked at quite a few different options before getting this piece of gear and very glad I did as I was about to buy a Ceyanne Pro when I saw this new jacket on the Revit website which has only been released in the last month or so. I'm very impressed by the fit and features of the jacket which is clearly well thought out and an improvement over the Ceyanne in lots of areas. I've just done 600miles over the weekend mainly in the mountains in Wales and stayed warm and dry the whole time. What I noticed more than anything is my old jacket was actually very cold in comparison but I didn't have anything to compare it against. They didn't have the trousers in stock so hoping to get them in the next week or so.
I have high hopes that this setup will suit my requirement for a true 4 seasons outfit happy to commute right through the winter and then keep me cool on trips further afield during summer. Only a couple of days in but if anyone is looking for a new high spec outfit I think this one is well worth considering. I picked it up at Bransons in Gloucester and they had a huge range of Revit gear in stock. Expensive yes but am hopful in the long run it will prove itself. Happy trails over the winter.
