We went out and did some more tracks north of Rhayader
to see what they would be like for Robs adventure rider run
:augie

Rob terrorises the locals on the HP2 :thedummy

We rode quite a few difficult tracks but this one was a corker

100_1582Large.jpg

It was very rocky an also long

100_1585Large.jpg

It was too tricky to take pics on the difficult bits on a big bike

100_1586Large.jpg

Then Rob was attacked by a giant beetle

100_1587Large.jpg

We carried on to the Barmouth estuary

All in all a great day out and a long one...We started at 10am and it was 10pm when we finished...Brilliant cheers Rob :beerjug:

Looks fantastic. I'm not sure but we may have ridden some of that last time, I'm probably wrong. Something looks familiar. In any case looks lovely.
Edit, just read this post after asking where pic was on other thread.

Looks awesome chaps! Very jealous!

Great Photos again.
The scenery around that area is just fantastic
You do know that when you got to Barmouth you were very close to the motorway Shame you ran out of time:D

well, it's been a long week of late nights and too much work, so the piccies are a bit late in arriving but here goes

you know that feeling when you're not quite on your game, this track requires a reasonable pace to get enough momentum to get you to the top, I didn't have it, got stuck and then reversed to get another go, and then dropped it at standstill :thedummy:thedummy:thedummy:thedummy it's strange how the photo makes it look flat, for you adv riders reading this it will be included on the weekend:thumb2:thumb2

we ambled around a few lanes as we went north, the views were improving all the time

then we got into some proper riding and as my hangover faded I began to feel a little more on the case, Garry wheelspins off into the distance

this track has to be one of the most difficult I've ridden, by difficult I mean steep rocky inclines needing good clutch and throttle control and downhills that first gear with the clutch out would have been a disaster, SUPERB FUN,
it's a difficult version of the strata florida to give you an idea

P1000788.jpg

an easy crossing, but you never know after the 4x4s have churned it up

P1000789.jpg

and finally barmouth bridge

once my head had cleared I had a great day, I saw something very unusual aswell, an upside down hp2, a very rare thing in the hands of Mr Holloway

another brilliant day, I really can't understand why more gsers don't do this

cheers Garry

I saw something very unusual as well, an upside down hp2, a very rare thing in the hands of Mr Holloway

Drat and double drat, I'd give my right arm to see that:eek

I'll have to keep my fingers crossed for Sunday, cos you just know he'll be dying for me to drop the X :-)
