Rhayder Dams - Revenge of the Dirty Dog!

Oh i love it when the lads get together for a friendly chat.

Ok once again i will see if i can make it.
Depends if my shoulder and back are ok.
Knackered my back taking my daughter quading at the weekend.

I have to admit i am also a bit bothered about trashing my only good bike.
Now if someone was prepared to lend me one they didn't care too much about........ :mmmm

TIME GENTLEMAN PLEASE

One would suggest that at this point in time, it may be necessary to take a chill pill or two please gentlemen. :thumb

Either that or continue your "debate" via PM's :nono

Thanks

BTBR

Hey Jimbo

couldn't get a price on those tyres for the CRF, apparently didn't do the sizes in the Michelin's. My mate wasn't there so the price didn't include my discount, the Tourance were £180 a pair

Will pop in again next week when my mate is back from his hol's :thumb

so who's going and when

who and when.

I've had a message back from andy who led the off road route on the welsh camping weekend , I'm going to send him a map to mark up :beerjug:

however ,he hasn't led official off road rideouts in this area for some time and so doesn't know if all routes marked will still be legal

but at least we are trying your honor

in answer to matkat , i do like riding my adv off road but i think a bit more experience on something smaller wouldn't hurt either, you may consider that perhaps you have a great deal more experience than some of us and also as it happens i'm not afraid of falling off it , i consider it part of the learning curve(see wales camp out thread). But until i get the seat altered so that i can put my feet somewhere near flat on the floor i would rather use the xl

have fun

Rob

Hey Rob, your lucky your fee treach the ground. I do feel your rather understimating your trail ridining skills from what i've seen you handle that lardy thing very well :clap :clap Guess i don't have so far to small, and if you keep on building up my off road expereince i'll start to believe it, reality is i'm always up for a laugh. Anyway, after the Cambrian i'm sure i will have found some more 'legal' rupps for us to play on

Don't start him off Jim... :jibber

Anyway Alan, never mind about MTB's, are you getting another bike, and if so what and when :nenau

I don't know how you've managed without having a bike, I would be pulling my hair out by now

When I cancelled the bike last year, I then made the choice there and then to concentrate on my cycling for 2006.

Now if I am to be honest here, and heaven forbid if Mrs BTBR reads this, but I half expected my knee to have given up again, therefore forcing me back to the GS. :D

But it has'nt as yet, despite the increasing in training speeds since joining this new club. :thumb Yes, it has grumbled at me a couple of times after a good bashing, but as long as I can walk without a limp the next day, then I'm ok with that. :o

There is no way that I could have managed without a GS for this long if I had not had my cycling, and that is a fact. :bow

But I have put far to much effort this year in getting fit and losing weight to go and spoil it now.

That said, if one were to come along at the right price, then who knows :nenau

Lets see what 2007 has to offer

Blimey, I can't believe my eyes. . . . .

A serious post from Alan :nenau :nenau

Not even a hint of sarcasm. . . .

Fair enough I can understand that completely.

I have to admit, I envy your commitment to training, not that long ago I was too like yourself, but work and college have stopped all that for now :(

Hopefully next year I can put some weight back on at the gym and then start my cv program again. I really don't feel the same since I've lost my fitness, I always said I would never let it get to this stage :nenau

Time to get the cardio monitor back on and get training again I think ;)

Look after those knees mate, I hear the plastic one's don't work no where near as well :thumb
