Ride Route - Headcorn to Shoreham On Sea

No I am not organising one but thought others might like the route which incorporates a few fords.

Starts from Headcorn Aerodrome (Kent) http://www.headcornaerodrome.co.uk
(Cafe there for a cup of tea)

and finishes at Shoreham Airport (Sussex)

(There is a cafe/restaurant at the airport but thought I would advertise the local museum). Free bike parking on the right hand side of the main terminal building.

Hopefully, the attached TomTom itinary and GPX routes open OK.

Should you want a circular route then go via Rye back to Headcorn. I did plan a route but it was nothing spectacular so I won't post it.

Some of this might be good for Nomad's Kent Camping Weekend in May that I sort of volunteered to do a road run on the Saturday morning!!!

Not much water but they made a good enough splash for a novice like me.
Yep, got them off WetRoads.
Didn't try the one at Shalesbrook Lane (golf course) as it looked deep and muddy.
And the one where I did not see the hole in the concrete ford base and nearly came off had my friend laughing.

PS
I set the TomTom itinary route up as 'shortest route' and in some instances it asked you to turn around after going through a ford. However, unless you want to turn around just carry on and it recalculates it again. You would need to put in more way markers to overcome this.
