Ride to Finland, via Denmark and Sweden

Hey,

I just thought I'd share our trip plans and blog here.

CrazyCaz and yours truly are off this Friday (27th May 2011) on the Harwich to Esbjerg ferry. Then we'll head to Gothenburg via Copenhagen-Bridge-Malmoe. Then up to Dalecarlia (Borlange and Falun) for a while. Doing some off-roading near Avesta with some mates.
Then down to Stockholm for the overnight Viking Line (there's also Silja Line) ferry to Turku. We'll be spending most of our time around Raasepori (where I grew up). Hopefully some off-roading there too. Then Turku-Stockholm ferry back and dash down to Copenhagen for a night on the tiles then back to Esbjerg... 16 days in total.

For you day/eve in Copenhagen, be sure that you hit Nyhavn. It is an old canal area of the habour which has been turned into bars & restaurants with outside seating etc..the Paris of the north and a must for a few brews and a spot of people watching. Have a beer for me in hyhavn 17, which is an old bar on the frontage and used to be my old waterting hole.... ,,,and the best part is that you are within waliking distance (max 20 min) of anything in town center.

Thanks for the tip! We'll be arriving after a long ride from Stockholm, so I expect we'll just dine and wine till we fall over. But we're in no rush on Saturday morning. We're meeting up with a friend who's local, so I'm sure we'll see the better side of København, but I'll mention your recommendation too.
