Is anyone here going on the BM trip to Ushuaia in March?

The trip notes suggest there are 11 of us and quite a few come from in and around the south east. It might be nice to meet up for a drink before we go.

I'm flying out early to explore a bit of Chile before I join the tour, picking up the bike early with a view to travel north. Anyone else got similar plans? If so perhaps we could hook up

When you get to Ushia try the steaks and sausages in the caff'es, you've
never had steaks like that I'll be bound. Have a good trip I did it in 2007 from Alaska.

I'm in the planning stages of doing this trip next year, but I won't be doing the package tour with a well know company. I'll either be going with a mate or on my own if he chickens out, it won't be costing £23k though. :augie Oh, and I'm going south to north. :D

Good idea going on your twosome, but do leave plenty of time so you can stop for longer than you may have planned when you find somthing of interest. Also a good idea to get a grasp of spanish even a bit helps all seem to speak english well. keep two wallets, one with about two dollars in and some out of date creditcards in case you get mugged, as long as they get something they'll be off, and don't forget some places in south america are NOT london and there are a few nasty bastards about so keep your eyes skinned and when (not if) you get pulled for speeding even when your parked
don't give the stasi anything just say you've got no money as all their after is bribes. Nicuagria is a classic. One cop started bollocking me for speeding and I was a passenger in the right hand drive van!!!!!, and always tell them you are a fan if che chavara as he's still very big in SA. Pease don't think this is all bollocks because I've been there and done it so take care and keep your passport and money well hidden. Visa ctredit cards are the norm rather than any other and there are lots of internet cafes and they are cheap, very cheap for phoning home. Good luck with the tour and enjoy it.
Dave GS. (ps, don't mention the Falklands in Argentina!!)
