Riding high

Tried riding whilst standing up on pegs on GSA for first time. Never saw the point until I tried. Great to stretch legs, good view and just fun.

But ...

What are the rules of riding standing up on the Queen's highway? Is it legal? Could you be pulled over for showing off or riding dangerously just because you were on the pegs?

And most importantly what's the best technique. I'm 1m90 (6ft3) so am I to lean forward (keeping weight over front wheel) and keep 2 fingers on the front brake? Grip the fuel tank with thighs? There must be some science to riding high.

It is quite normal to do this as you go into Tesco's car park. You will look quite cool as you do it.
