Riding in the Alps (France and Switzerland) - requirements and documentation

You are a very naughty boy!

That's what Officori Spaghetti told me when I "Make'a da turni de lefto, acrossesori da ligna da blanco solida"

My insurance comes via email, I could ask for an original copy and I am sure someone at the Insurer would hit the print button and send me it, or I could hit the print button on my PC and have an identical copy fall out of my printer.

I consider my "forgery" adequate.

If I have a proper original (like passport and driving licence) I will take it, why not, not like it takes up much space or weighs anything.

Hi-Viz I have never really bothered about, but my new textile suit has a small removeable hi viz section so I may as well leave it on for the trip.

Helmet stickers - no thanks.

Only been stopped once, mainly due to being lost and doing a U-Turn, copper only wanted to offer some directional assistance but his English was no better than my French, we laughed - but not the 90 Euro type of laugh Wapping seems to have from time to time, my laugh was free.

I really do not worry about the small technicalities abroad, you have to piss someone off badly before it becomes an issue I would guess, so I try not to piss them off - and if I get unlucky I will pay the fine and carry on with my holiday.
