Does anyone know if there's any 'custom' (i.e. better/really good) rim protectors about for changing tyres on a 1200 spoked wheel, or do the protectors from the likes of Abba work just fine?

I have a dream to be a super trouper. While it's not about money money money I've posted an SOS but all the answers came from dancing queens, who are probabaly called Chiquitita. The name of the game is rim protectors. I was hoping for some help, you know - the way old friends do. So thank you for the music, but I'm not head over heals with the replies.
Now, I'm going to try and 'soften' the nylon ones and re-mould then to the shape of the spoked rims. I'm hoping Nylons soft enough to be moulded in boiling water.
Or try and buy some 1-2mm thick sheets of nylon - about A4 size - anyone know any sources?

Dude take some automotive heater hose or standard garden hose cut about 4" long then slit them length wise. Slip over the rim edge...thats what I use when changing tires for rim protection and it works fine!
....an No I don't sing...nor do I do windows either...![]()
