Can anybody tell me if the Ring antenna and Fuel sensor i carry as spare's for any long trips are the same for the 2004 r1200 GS as to the new f800 GS the ring antenna no. on box is 61 35 7 714 207 and Fuel sensor 16 14 7 708 312. can not get a straight answer from BMW dealers. as they very much look the same.

Bought as spares for 04 model 1200 GS

Thanks john these were Bought as spares for 2005 04 model 1200 GS and the only no.s are on the boxs i now own a f800 GS and am trying to sell on ebay but if i can get good confemation they would do for the 800 i would pull out of the sale and use them for a planed trip to Mongolia..:nenau

ews ring

why dont you unplug the 800 one and plug the gs one in and see if it works.
think the part number john has is the latest " improved " item which replaces the one you have.

leaving well alone

Thanks Foggy but i am going to leave well alone for the momment new bike and all ..i but i hope the spares have'nt been upgraded yet only bought them in December..............:blast

Hi, Go on the Max BMW website part finches and compare part numbers.
My 1200GS and 1200GT has the same ring antenna part numbers.

This is something I'd planned to check on, and haven't yet got around to doing. I carry spares for both for my 1200. My wife has just taken delivery of her new 650, and it would be nice not to duplicate spares. Hopefully because of the positioning of the 650 fuel pump relay under the seat, water ingress will be less of a problem.
