noticed the other day riding to the station that these absolutely chuck water at your right foot / calf - not a problem in boots but a tad unpleasant in my work shoes!

presumably there's some sort of hugger available?

cheers

charlie

leave your work shoes in work and wear your boots, there, I've saved you the price of a mud sling, available from Nippy Norman and other outlets.

Mudsling is the only way to go. Very effective and less than 10mins to fit. Huggers are surprisingly ineffective. Andca Machine art front mudguard extension for even better protection.

In addition (and worse IMO) than road spray it funnels heat from the catalytic converter right at my right calf. It's really only noticeable to me when ambient temperature is over 85F or so. After installing a Mudsling the spray crud was better but heat was worse so I took it off. It's only an issue in hot weather.

We don't get much of that here!:D

Just fitting a Mudsling and quite surprised to see there is minimal clearance between it and the swing arm. I'm pretty sure it's fitted correctly and there is some clearance, just not a lot.

Yep, that sounds right.:thumb

£134 for 1/2 inch. Sounds expensive. Luckily most will only have to pay for 6 inches or less :D

This might explain what I saw on a WC last week - a bracket with a perspex 'shield' just in front of the right leg.

Silly question...why is it only the right-side that gets wet? It's obviously not related to roundabouts as the one I saw was here in France :)
