A nice welcome to wales was arranged first thing this morning, i was awoken by the sound of my boat being dragged past the window, i jumped out the bed ran to the window to see absolutly nothing, boat was fine but the birds were singing???

3.8 on the richter scale:eek

Centered somewhere north of me, probably John Roberts dropped his wallet:D

I wasn't moved.

But then again I'm in East Midlands.

Hope it didn't shake the Gogs up too much :D

A neighbour said it sounded as if a lorry had run into the back of a car parked outside his house. I was a bit slow waking up and all I heard was a noise like a lorry driving past, but without (or perhaps just after) the bang, but the cat by that time had leapt up and shot out of the bedroom, so it seems it heard the bang all right.

The wife was up when the 5.6(?) one struck back in '84, she said that both herself and our two-year-old were staggering as if they were on a ship in a storm as they tried to rush to each other across the room. I missed most of that one too, only waking up as it died down. Then I missed the other one a few days later because I was driving. Loser, eh? :D

PS strange how the epicentre seems to hop about, the first report was in the middle of the Irish Sea, the second gave it as level with Aberystwyth, and Shep's has it on the coast about seven miles SW of Nefyn. Ah well, nothing seems to have fallen down yet anyway.
