Pootled down to Exmouth this morning to be measured up by the nice people at BKS. I am now waiting for a 2-piece SPS (touring) suit in black Kangaroo leather.
The quality of construction of their leathers has to be seen to be appreciated - well worth the money - and very safe, if the local Plod are to anything to go by...

Not quite sure why I was specific about the colour, since all bike leathers are black by default.

I bet it looked better on the kangaroo than it will on you.

I thought Kangaroos were a sort of beige colour?

Is this new black kangaroo the result of some cruel experimental breeding programme?:nenau

BKS

I bought a BKS two piece suit back in 1993 and have put about 150,000 miles on it. A few years ago I bought an ex prototype Goretex textile jacket at the NEC (I'm about the same size as Brian Sansom for whom it was originally measured) and that has been brilliant as well. I got them to change the zip together zips on my original suit so the original leather trousers zip to the new textile jacket as well as the original leather jacket (their zips had changed in the 10 years between buying the original suit and buying the jacket).

I used to commute approx 60 miles a day summer and winter as well as holidays etc.

I have been retired about 4 years and now do under 2,000 miles a year. When I put the suit on it's still like a second skin and I can walk around all day in it.

I would heartily recommend them. If you can afford it, buy it.
