try adjusting from Brecon to Garth via Mynydd Epynt and Upper Chapel. B road rather than trunk road. Then across from Beulah to Newbridge on Wye via one of the craziest roads in Wales. Superb sweepers and rollercoaster dips. https://goo.gl/maps/bAikQft2FD9jEyNu5
From Machynlleth, get on the Forge road to Stay little...onto Llanidloes, through the town...pick up the road too St Harmon and Rhayadar...
