When he's on an 'adventure' then drops said bike, he must awaite the arrival of a passing yak herder or Bedouin (this doesn't apply to gods on two wheels).
Alternatively, if he was on a middleweight, he could pick it up and crack on.
GS, best adventure bike, no.

However, if riding in a group or with a TV back up crew. There isn't many rivals.

Some pretty tricky surfaces to ride one there, and he's also riding with a pillion! great stuff.

Having ridden one across Botswana and Namibia in similar conditions I would have to agree with him. The only issue we had were two bike being dropped and the valve covers being cracked spraying oil around the place. We all had engine bars but you really need valve covers line the old GSA....nothing broke or fell of.

Then again we were not worrying about corrosion etc. Truly awesome bit of kit in its natural habitat.

Albeit nice to see RJ giving the GS a glowing report about riding on dirt roads/tracks, it would be nice to see his opinion on a GS riding quick around some mountain roads with a decent set of road tyres and loaded up with plenty of luggage.

After my trips to northern Spain, I can't think of a better bike to do it on. You just press a button and it's a different bike. Awesome!!!

That's why I am on my 4th and will have another :)
