Further to the PDNPA requesting us not to use Royche Clough (see t'other thread) they've been out for a check today. Seems it's still blocked.
They also offer thanks for not using the lane :clap

Quote (email to TRF):

As promised I had a look at the roych yesterday. As you can see from the attached it’s still blocked, and the photos don’t really do justice to quite how blocked it is, I’ve never seen snow this deep in this country. The farmer has managed to get through the short first section but beyond that is still blocked by some pretty deep drifts which are now compacted ice in many places. Whilst this all looks very pretty I feel we have to continue our request for users to avoid it in the immediate future. On that front it seems to have been impeccably observed on the ground so if you can send out our thanks for the ongoing common sense and respect users are showing I’d be very grateful. Looking at how compacted the ice is it will take a (very welcome) rise in temperature to melt the worst of it, but I’ll keep a regular eye on it.
I see what you mean about Chapelgate as well, and whilst I only had a tertiary look at long causeway the upper reaches did seem to have deep snow on them too. Perhaps we should urge caution on all high ground for this weekend at the least?
Again thanks for your help and support on this, I’ll keep you as regularly posted as my time allows.
Best Regards

Rich

That wasn't yours at Rainbow today was it?

Cos if it was, I hope they fixed the leaking bevel seal and replaced all the bits I nicked off it ;)

Yes it was:D

Full 30k service and replaced the bearings in the final drive.
I watched them do it all, Learnt a lot.

Off to Morocco in a fortnight though so it needs to be on top form.
:D
