So I've made a mistake...
... I traded my old 2005 RT in for a beautiful 1200R Classic. It's gorgeous; all the goodies, super new TC engine, etc. The bike is great fun to ride, but maybe not for me. I've just done a 2,500 mile ride to Spain on the bike. It was great to ride; very comfortable seat, Mrs. Stanley thought it the best pillion bike we've ever owned, good handling, etc.
But I suffer tinnitus. And I like to ride fast for long distances. I need my big fairing back.
In brief, the bike is:
A late 2011 R1200R Classic,
Covered by full BMW warranty untill approx. next March,
8,600 miles,
FBMWSH,
One previous owner,
EVERY factory fit option:
ESA, ABS, ESC, Computer, heated grips, LED indicators, Tinted sports screen, etc.
And a few other expensive bits:
Chromed head covers (a £400 option) and the "High comfort" seat (£300).
That's on top of the usual "Classic" goodies: spoked wheels, fancy paint, chrome pipes and mirrors, etc.
In a "Swapshop" style, what I'd ideally like is a dohc RT, or a high spec. low mileage pre-dohc RT.
Anyone interested?
Cash adjustments may be an option too.
