Has anyone washed a Rukka Goretex Jacket/Trouses??

Mine have been leak free for 5 years, but are in need of a proper wash, rather than a wash down with a hose.

Afraid they will leak, and at £600 plus, undeciede what to do.

I wouldn`t wash them, they`ll get softer and might get leaky. I have two Rukka jackets, both aprox 10 years old. The one wich has been washed isn`t so "stiff" and leaks just a bit. Both are gore.

Wash my Rukka jacket regularly, Goretex needs to be kpe clean or it stops being breathable.

Used Nikwax wash and then Nikwax reproofing to give the outer some water repellency.

I agree.

Have not washed my Rukka pants yet bought at the NEC, but my Hein Gericke jacket has been in the machine about a dozen times with Nikwash. No leaks, just clean.

I think next time I'll just buy a black jacket!

I wash my Rukka jacket in the bath with some soap flakes (not detergent) and use a nail brush to scrub the really dirty bits. Rinse with several changes of water and hang up to drip dry. Seems to work fine, and its still waterproof. (ps take the armour out first!)

I wash my Rukka kit in the machine and just let it dry. The instructions do not recommend using a 'wash-in' reproofer (unlike the instructions for my Berghaus jacket), so I don't. It works a treat.

If it doesn't work, isn't your stuff still within the guarantee period anyway? No risk then...
