There seems to be reviews on practically everything with a Rukka logo on it, however I can't find any decent reviews on the Granite. There's a nearly new one for sale & I need a new jacket! Would be grateful if anyone who has this jacket could post their thoughts.

Thanks :)

Good jacket with bonded goretex lining. Had mine for 2 years and no problems. Should come with a storm collar which is great in cold wet weather. Also has thermal lining which can be removed.

More of a winter than a summer jacket as has no ventilation but I have used in 30 degree heat and still ok for me.

Has the strange lockout closure rather than a zip but once used to it not a problem and had no issues with mine.

Standard back protector not that great - upgraded mine to something a bit more meaty!

If I could get another one in my size I would definitely buy one again - but now discontinued.

Don't have a Granite but two other Rukka Jackets. I don't like the plastic zip, they tend to burst unless you keep them lubed with the supplied stick - nothing to do with a stomach, but where the Jacket folds when on the bike. Performance Shell is fine to keep you dry but the outer skin will get heavy with water in a downpour and will make the Jacket chilly. Waterproof pockets are exactly that and pockets outside are very much not! Brilliant kit, well made and will last the five to eight years easily.

Not an issue with the Granite as it is a bonded goretex shell ;)

You either get Pro Shell in their expensive stuff which is a waterproof outer which doesn't soak or Performance Shell which is a bonded goretex INNER and therefore the outer part is not waterproof and can get soaked. Whatever the system, you stay dry - Pro shell remains light in a shower.

All explained here - http://www.rukka.com/motorsport/materials/#!gore-tex

Thanks for the feedback. Stonehenge, didn't know about the two types of shell, cheers. I'd prefer the Pro Shell, but the the one I've found is going at a decent price, especially if it's as 'new' as he says.

I'm a recent convert to Rukka and bought an Armaxion jacket & trousers

My only wish is that I'd bought Rukka years ago
