Are Nivala 2.0 gloves are on sale because of the new Imatra 3.0 on the block? Confusingly, they have different product names yet look identical visually.
I’m unclear on the spec. The 2.0 looks like it has only Outlast insulation, whereas the 3.0 has Outlast and Thinsulate.
Also, Rukka states the Imatra 3.0 has Gore Grip, whereas Motolegends’ video says the Nivala 2.0 has a drop liner. But is Motolegends incorrect?
Rukka spec for the Nivala 2.0 is a GORE-TEX® grip
From the distributors
https://bikerheadz.co.uk/product/nivala-20-gtx-glove-blkrd
Video on that page seems to describe a bonded or laminated inner - video link lower down
Rukka don't have the Nivala glove on their website, only the Imatra 3.0
Rukka seem to give some of their products different names in the UK to the rest of the world
Take a look on their site, luhta.com, all the jackets are named differently to the UK
No one in UK selling Imatra 3.0 as far as I can see
USA for example
The above video was posted 2 years ago, so the Imatra 3.0 not so new. About the same time the UK distributor shows the Nivala 2.0 for the first time
Looking at the posted pictures on a number of UK and Euro sites, to me, the Nivala 2.0 and the Imatra 3.0 look identical
Without being able to compare on the Rukka site it's impossibel to be 100% sure
The Gore site gives a definition of GoreTex grip gloves
https://www.gore-tex.com/en_uk/technology/gore-tex-products/grip-gloves
Even though these come with a 2 year warranty from Rukka, the Gore warranty it would seem is better
Motolegends own description states:
For added warmth in cold weather, you get a fleecy lining, but also Outlast. Now Outlast is more of a temperature regulator than an outright insulator, but it can be very effective, and works particularly well with heated grip
