Seen in Wick, yesterday

By coincidence it's the Caithness Classic Bike run on Sunday. Usually get a good turnout of old and new. Looking forward to it.

I now have visions of a Villiers 197 engined Frances Barnett howling past me with the pilot furiously hoofing it through the gears to stay in the power band (between 13000-13050 revs) - whilst trying to shake off Wick Traffic Plods' Ford Anglia.....:D

I fink I'll stay at home.

Edit..i don't fink it's an Anglia in the photie......Wolseley?

Think it's an Austin A40.

Those Crazy Wick Police Have MODERNISED their traffic car now I've no chance of escaping!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its an Austin A4 Farina. I passed my test in one of those in 1969.

I beg to differ, I still say it's an Austin A40. I'll grant you the Farina suffix though, although when it was a current car, I can't remember the Farina part of the name getting much prominence.

Hmmmm, I used to quite like these (not when I was "making progress" though) :rob

Correct, body design by Pininfarina.

My dear old Dad had one in the 60's which he used for amateur road rallying. He'd stuck a twin carb Midget head on it. Didn't do much for the handling though.:D

Typo on my part. A40 it is. My Dad had an A30, A40 and A50 over the years.
